Plan a short, useful feedback survey.
- Choose the next decision
Identify what the organiser can actually change: topics, examples, teaching format, timing or practical arrangements.
- Ask about one element at a time
A combined question about the trainer and venue cannot tell you which one needs improvement.
- Allow for missing experience
Offer “not applicable” when a participant did not attend a session or use a facility.
- Choose the timing and channel
A QR code at the exit is useful for immediate feedback. A later invitation may capture a different experience and a different group.
- Read the distribution and comments
Display usable counts, not just an average. Read open answers for specific changes you can make.
- Close the loop
Tell the team what will change and share an appropriate summary with participants.
A starting example.
Ask: “How useful was the session content for the work you need to do?” Then ask separately about the clarity of explanations and the practical arrangements. Finish with “What should we change for the next event?”
Use labelled response options and a defined event or session. A generic annual question may mix several experiences.
Interpret the scope honestly.
Satisfaction is not evidence that people learned a skill. Exit feedback excludes people who did not attend or left before being invited. Consider a separate invitation if their experience matters.
Set it up in Nuvopoll.
Use QuickPoll for a focused one-to-five-question check or an advanced survey for follow-up paths. Share a language-appropriate link or QR code. Review responses in a live report and preserve the base of each question.
