Projects

Understand the need. Follow the change.

Research helps connect your project plan to the people it affects. Ask the right questions before implementation, listen during the work and explain what you learned afterwards.

What decision is your project facing?

You may be preparing a proposal, designing training, improving a service or conducting an independent study. Start with what you need to understand, rather than a list of software features.

A needs survey can identify priorities and barriers. Short check-ins can reveal whether an activity is working as intended. Learning tests and follow-up questions can examine different kinds of change.

A live report brings the appropriate findings back to partners and participants.

Choose a route into the research.

Project situationA practical starting point
An idea needs evidenceNeeds assessment: define the target group and decision.
An event or course needs evaluationSeparate experience, learning and later application.

Keep evidence connected across the project.

Prepare the survey, recruit people through suitable channels and inspect the responses before drawing conclusions. Use the same question meaning and scale if measurements will be compared later.

Bring the findings into a report with sample size, dates, method and limitations. Let permitted readers share an individual chart with its source and your explanation. Data collected in a project becomes useful when someone can use it for a decision.

Examples show the work as well as the result.

The GASCA example explains research as a funded project activity. That research preceded Nuvopoll; the page shows how a similar workflow could be supported today.

The Distance Between Us is a real Nuvopoll application. Its 613 responses come with a defined research question and a sample that should not be presented as representing all of Türkiye.

Next step

A result is valuable when it can show how it was reached.
